Authorities have completed their investigation regarding the deaths of five tourists at a hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The likely cause of death was poisoning from chemicals in pesticides and insecticides used in the hotel. The deaths took place between the dates of January 11th 2011 and February 19th 2011. The actual chemical agents in the insecticide that caused the death could not be confirmed. Authorities are now looking into taking steps to reduce the risk of exposure to dangerous chemicals in pesticides. This is a hard lesson to learn and something that should be taken very seriously.
